What is included?

Extra-provincial LLP registration includes registering an LLP in a jurisdiction or province outside its home province where it is first registered. For example, the following situations need extra provincial registration:
  • An Limited Limited  Partnership registered in a country other than Canada → Extra-provincial registration is required in the province in a Canadian Province.
  • A Provincial LLP (Example Alberta LLP wishing to operate in B.C as well → Extra-provincial registration in B.C required.
  • Who can request Extra-Provincial registration
  • Owners or Partners, agent of LLP with Canadian address.

Timeline

Name Approval can be completed in 1 Business Day or 10 Business Days based on Queue selected. Registration process can be completed in about 7 to 15 Business Days. This is the timeline of B.C. Registry.
