What is included?

Extra-provincial registration includes registering a Corporation in a jurisdiction or province outside its home province where it is incorporated.
All Federal corporations must extra-provincially register in its home province too. For example, the following situations need extra provincial registration:

  • A Federal Corporation newly registered → Extra-provincial registration is required in the province where its registered office address is.
  • A Provincial corporation (Example Alberta Corporation) wishing to operate in B.C as well → Extra-provincial registration in B.C required.
