Checklist

Restoration is completed in 4 steps.

  1. Name approval. The Company name will have to approval again by B.C Registries unless it was a numbered company.
  2. A Notice to restore this company is to be published in the British Columbia Gazette.
  3. Submit a full restoration application to B.C Registries.
  4. File all pending Annual reports.

Who can apply for restoration:

  • Director, officer or shareholder of the company.

What is required to restore?

  • Name request number (if it was a named company) from B.C Registries.
  • Company name, company number and company password.

Timeline

Restoration is a multi-step process which involves electronic processes as well as manual work.
The whole process takes about 15-25 days for completion depending upon the current turn around time of B.C Registries (which varies according to their work load and staff availability).

FAQs

Why do I need a name approval for restoring a Company?

Name approval number is a pre-requisite for applying to restore. B.C Registries will not accept the restoration application with out a name request/approval of the name.
